Resplendence

SO I was doing that thing I do where I go through old drawings that never turned into paintings (or turned into paintings so long ago I am ashamed to post them) and came across a simple sketch of a elf in profile with a sort of butterfly wing crown. I had totally intended on drawing this, then turning it into a painting. but you see I got these new fancy pens the other day, and somewhere around 20% into the lines I said FUCK IT- and just kept drawing. busted out my old shading markers and had a hay day. this took me the better part of 14 hours, and I am so pleased. I still think it would be a pretty painting, but I really like it this way.
