LOS prologue - revisedThe young brunette lay quietly on the bed, her eyes closed, her breaths short and shallow. Holding her hand gently, the Demon next to her watched as her chest rose and fell, stroking her hair as she slept quietly in the failing evening light.
It had been only 14 short years since this small human girl found her way into his life, and even shorter still since she had found her way into his heart. She looked nearly the same as she did when he first found her crouched inside a partially burnt cupboard, sobbing quietly.
